How to use perga?
Small daily amounts, with breakfast or with honey — and why perga should not go into hot tea.
Perga is most often taken in small daily amounts, as a food supplement. The best way to use it is simply and regularly, without complicating things.
How to take it
You can take perga:
- on its own — a few granules slowly dissolve in the mouth
- with breakfast
- with honey (a spoon of honey with a few granules of perga is a favourite combination)
- with yoghurt
- with oats
- as part of a morning routine
In beekeeping practice, adults are usually said to take about one to two teaspoons a day (roughly 1–2 g), and many take it after a meal. Children are given smaller amounts. When you first start, begin with a smaller amount to see how it suits you.
Important: no hot drinks
Do not put perga into very hot drinks, because high temperatures are not ideal for delicate natural products. If you want it with tea, wait until the tea has cooled to drinking temperature — or simply take it alongside the tea rather than in it.
For how long
Perga is most often taken in cycles of a few weeks, typically in the transitional seasons or in periods of greater strain. How you use it depends on your habits — we recommend regularity rather than large amounts.
How to store it
- keep it in a dry place
- away from direct sunlight
- close the jar well after opening
- follow the instructions on the packaging
If you are not sure how best to use or store the product, you can always get in touch. And if you have a medical condition or an allergy to bee products, consult a professional.
